Continuation of the LCRA Creekside Soil and Water Conservation Program

These projects protected the Texas Lower Colorado River watershed by providing education, technical assistance, and financial incentives to landowners through LCRA’s Creekside Conservation Program. Assessed nonpoint source (NPS) pollutant load reductions resulting from the program as well as educated agricultural producers and local stakeholders on abatement of NPS pollution through implementation of conservation practices and promotion of Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs). All of these objectives were achieved through a collaboration with the TSSWCB, local soil and water conservation districts, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, the USDA Agricultural Research Service and others.
