The Texas Well Owner Network, TWON, is hosting a water screening event for those residents that may have had their private water well inundated with flood waters during the July rainfall events.  The screening will be held on September 15 – 16 in San Angelo.

Water samples will be screened for total coliform bacteria and E. coli bacteria.

Water sampling and meeting information

— Water samples can be dropped off on Monday, September 15th from 8:30-11:00a.m. at the AgriLife Extension office for Tom Green County, 113 W. Beauregard Ave., San Angelo; Runnels County AgriLife Extension office, 608 Sealy Ave., Suite A in Ballinger; Sterling County AgriLife Extension office, 609 4th Street, Sterling City; Irion County AgriLife Extension office, 209 North Parkview, Mertzon; Sterling County UWCD office, 612 4th Street, Sterling City; Irion County WCD office, 208 N. Park View, Mertzon.  There will be no cost for the water well screening.

The follow-up meeting to explain the results of the screenings will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16th at the Tom Green County AgriLife Extension Office, 113 W. Beauregard Ave., in San Angelo.
